Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy applies to purchases made through vMaras.art.

vMaras.art sells original artworks, prints, and related artistic products. Because original artworks are one of a kind and may be fragile, shipping and delivery are handled with care and may depend on the size, value, destination, and type of artwork.

1. Contact

2. Delivery methods

Depending on the artwork, destination, and delivery risk, orders may be delivered using one of the following methods:

Postal or courier delivery
Tracked and insured courier delivery
Personal delivery by the artist, where possible
Local pickup by appointment
Custom delivery arrangement agreed before dispatch

For larger, fragile, or higher-value original artworks, standard parcel shipping may not be available. In those cases, delivery will be arranged individually.

3. Large and one-of-a-kind original artworks

Original artworks are unique and cannot usually be replaced if lost or damaged.

For this reason, larger or higher-value original artworks may require one of the following:

Personal delivery by the artist
Local pickup by appointment
Special packaging
Tracked and insured courier delivery
Custom delivery quote before dispatch

If an artwork requires custom delivery, I may contact you after the order is placed to confirm the safest delivery option. If safe delivery cannot reasonably be arranged, the order may be cancelled and refunded.

For some artworks, I may recommend or require personal delivery, pickup, or insured courier delivery before dispatch.

4. Local pickup

Local pickup may be available by prior agreement.

Pickup is available only by appointment and must be arranged by email:

If local pickup is arranged, the artwork should be inspected at the time of handover. Once the artwork is received and accepted by the customer, the pickup is considered completed.

5. Personal delivery

For selected original artworks, especially larger or more fragile pieces, personal delivery by the artist may be possible.

Personal delivery is arranged individually and depends on location, timing, artwork size, and availability.

If personal delivery is agreed, the artwork should be inspected at the time of handover. Once the artwork is received and accepted by the customer, the delivery is considered completed.

6. Shipping destinations

Shipping may be available within Croatia, the European Union, and selected international destinations, depending on the artwork and delivery options available.

Not all artworks can be shipped to all destinations.

7. Shipping costs

Shipping costs are shown during checkout where standard shipping is available.

For larger, fragile, high-value, or unusually shaped original artworks, shipping costs may need to be calculated separately.

If a custom shipping quote is required, I will confirm the cost and delivery method with you before dispatch.

Additional charges, if applicable, will be clearly communicated before the artwork is shipped.

8. Processing time

Orders are usually prepared for dispatch after payment has been successfully processed.

Because artworks require careful packaging, processing time may vary depending on the artwork type, size, and packaging needs.

Estimated processing times:

Prints and smaller items: usually 3–7 business days
Small original artworks: usually 5–10 business days
Large, fragile, or high-value original artworks: arranged individually

9. Estimated delivery times

Delivery times depend on the destination, delivery method, courier or postal service, customs, holidays, weather, and other circumstances outside my direct control.

Estimated delivery times may vary and are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.

If no specific delivery time has been agreed, delivery will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection rules.

10. Packaging

Every artwork is packed with care and appropriate protective materials.

Packaging may include protective wrapping, cardboard, corner protection, reinforced materials, rigid backing, protective layers, or other suitable materials depending on the artwork.

For fragile or high-value works, additional packaging or insured courier delivery may be required.

Please keep all packaging after delivery until you have fully inspected the artwork.

11. Damaged parcels or damaged artwork

Please inspect the parcel and artwork as soon as possible after delivery.

If the parcel arrives visibly damaged, please do the following where possible:

Ask the courier to record the damage
Take photos of the parcel before opening it
Take photos of the outer packaging
Take photos of the inner packaging
Take photos of the artwork
Keep all original packaging

Please include:

Your order number
Photos of the damaged artwork
Photos of the outer packaging
Photos of the inner packaging
Photos of any visible parcel damage
A short description of the issue

Because original artworks are one of a kind, replacement may not be possible. If delivery damage is confirmed, I will work with you to find a fair solution. This may include repair by the artist, a partial refund, return and refund, cancellation and refund, or another mutually agreed solution.

12. Lost parcels

If your order appears to be lost in transit, please contact me at:

I will work with the courier or postal service to investigate the issue.

If the parcel is confirmed lost and the item cannot be delivered, I will work with you to find an appropriate solution, which may include refund, replacement where possible, or another agreed solution.

Because original artworks are one of a kind, replacement of original pieces may not be possible.

13. Incorrect or incomplete delivery address

Please make sure your delivery address is correct and complete before placing an order.

vMaras.art is not responsible for delivery issues caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.

If an order is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, additional shipping costs may apply to resend the item.

14. Unclaimed parcels

If a parcel is not collected, refused, or returned to sender, I will contact you to discuss the next steps.

Additional shipping costs may apply if the item needs to be sent again.

Refunds in this situation will be handled in accordance with the Return and Refund Policy and applicable consumer protection rules.

15. Customs, duties, and import charges

For deliveries outside Croatia or outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes, handling fees, or other charges may apply.

These charges are not controlled by vMaras.art and are the responsibility of the customer, unless stated otherwise.

Please check your local customs rules before placing an international order.

16. Delivery restrictions

Some artworks may not be suitable for standard shipping because of their size, weight, texture, fragility, value, or destination.

If an artwork cannot be shipped safely or reasonably to your location, I may contact you to arrange an alternative delivery method or cancel and refund the order.

17. Questions before purchase
