Artists commentary on "Tears Forest":
I know we shouldn't say this about our work. but... This is one of the paintings I don't like... It represents all the bad feelings I had at the moment of creating it. Mainly anger, Anger and sadness at the same time. After experiencing loss, unbearable loss, I couldn't paint anymore. For a long time. Thought I would never paint again. But. Life has a strange way of proving you wrong... So I tried again. And I did this. Didn't intend it to go this way... But nothing other than "crying eyes" would go out of my brush. I was frustrated because it looked really weird when I started. It looked scary, deppressing. So it took months for me to try and do something out of this. But it just went in the direction of even more eyes, even more tears. I didn't understand, and, my first reaction was that I would never be any good again. I lost my love, my one person who meant everything to me, so I lost my art.

Only later I realised, I hadn't lost it, it was me. Raw.

Without the mask of "I am strong", "I'm ok", "I'm fine". I wasn't. I don't think I will ever be. And I am just in the middle of accepting this. It is ok. so, decided to take this one, and instead of pushing it aside I ended up varnishing it. Also on my birthday. Like the one titled "Pain". How appropriate, again. Don't want to hide the truest pieces. It is me, I had the most amazing love, one in a million... And lost it. It is ok to cry!

So this is for all my tears and probably many more to come.
